so i failed at starting in the middle and matching the handwriting so if i do this one id either re do the type several times to get a good consistent one or use the type below
i like the helvetica (i think) one the best as well but I think its too clean. I really like the back of the second version but the front cover of that one isn't as strong. I think handwritting suits it better
this is a tough one. you showed good restraint by keeping the type delicate for both options. helvetica light is delicate enough, but kind of a cliche. i don't think andrew bird is a helvetica man. hunt a bit more for typefaces and i think something else will emerge that works.
the track list placement on the back is off for both of them. the type is floating at the top/top-right. to center or not to center. make a decision.
i love the top one. its natural and the text its simply enough, the other one takes away from the image
