On an 8.5" x 11" page (in Illustrator or InDesign) create a grid that is 5 columns wide by 4 rows deep. Don't forget to add margins around the edges, and gutters between the columns and rows. It should look like something like this:
You will use the grid as a guide to help you add a sense of order to 5 different page layouts you will create. Each layout should have exactly 5 of the images you chose in class. Please make:
- a layout with all 5 images the same size
- a layout with 1 dominant image
- a layout with an asymmetrical or off-balance composition
- a layout with a symmetrical or balanced composition
- a layout where each image has been cropped to a proportion other than its original proportion (i.e. a square or long skinny rectangular proportion instead of 4 by 3).
The images may be resized to any size you choose in each layout, and aligned to as many of the grid lines as you deem necessary.
Examples:
Please present the layouts printed out.

Do we add any text? Or are we only using the pictures?
How do you want us to title the images?
