a lsu grad student's master thesis on the Yes Men. (the ones who made the fake nyt copy)
pretty interesting, but really long, just read abstract, intro and conclusion if interested.
author argues that their tactics are impotent and "incommunicable" because of who they target.
their performances go unnoticed or ignored because they are performed in corporate environments, and the people they target can't distinguish between their satire and reality.(like their performance at dow and wto conferences.)
there are many different arguments for or against their cause,
i think the point of the yes men's performances is that the corporations that they oppose actually agree with the crazy shit they say in their performances, like the wto conference for example where they bascially proposed slavery in Africa to end poverty and initiate development.
anyway goodstuff, read up!
