1. read pp. 12-37 in thinking with type. pay special attention to the last few pages, as they will help to cement the today's lecture.
2. create a 'pixel' typeface, i.e. one made up of little squares drawn as if on a grid.
- you may use pencil and graph paper or the computer (please print your design out)
- make all 26 letters- all upper case, all lower case, or any combination of the two
- make the numerals 0-9
- each character must be maximum 16 'pixels' high
- bonus: draw/print a word in your typeface
- make it original!
