your assignments this week:
1. revise/complete your symbolic item from last week. bring it in PRINTED. if you did a flag or logo you need only bring 1, not 3, but make it good.
2. collect the family background material - symbols, colors, words, typefaces - of another person in the class. create 3 detailed sketches of an item (again, flag, logo, crest or tarot card) for them. most of you should have paired up with someone yesterday...
- your partner is now your CLIENT. he/she will have all the resources you need to set this project up, and will also have the power to suggest ideas and critique your work. don't get "fired"!
- you may use any of the 4 symbolic items except the one you used already for your family. it does not matter which item your partner created last week- perhaps you can do a better/different version than them?
- the sketches may be in pencil, marker or digital, but they must be tight enough to critique.
- if you worked in a particular style last week, try switching it up.
