I think #2 is most successful all around, the type composition as well as the colorations. I think it is really beautiful with those two colors and the scratchy type is really nice. I'm happy you really made it look like nirvana in the end :)
verrr nice :) im loving the scratchy type and the hand done asterisks in between the songs..i would agree with megan that #2 is the best. have you tried combining the front of 6 with the back of 5? that might look good too..
I agree with both Megan and Georgia that #2 looks the best. Really, I decided that before coming here to leave a comment. Although I think the colored font on black background (#4) looks pretty cool too.
I was wondering if they would still look "Nirvana" without the actual Nirvana font. The colors you picked are very teenager/young adult like and the font is very grungy so I think it works.
PS. What happened to the word "spirit" in Smells Like Teen Spirit?
i hoped this would work itself out. i'm glad you're this far along and still noodling, and that the class was able to help you. #2 it is! (btw, nice catch hannah- you know you're a graphic designer when the words become just shapes to move around, not read...)
